That was encouraging, saw a text in German that I understood … kind of. But I wasn’t really sure about certain words, so I used Google Translate to check what it really meant … and my translation was better. It looks like the last 9 months have increased my knowledge of German.

Spent most of the day with my grandchildren … which made we wish that I was 30 years younger … which in turn would have resulted in some awkward conversations

I know a few people who works close to where this is. They are not happy about having to listen to hours of “music”. Note the tin can, the last time I passed here, the musician had it on his foot and was stomping out the beat of whatever he was playing. Not enjoyable!

The most frustrating part of learning a language so far: while understanding what is said, I don’t understand the tone/value of what is being said.

I failed. Yesterday I would have taken my 932 consecutive daily photo but I forgot. So now I have to figure out what to do.

Inte nöjd. Vi håller på att sätta in en kakelugn och de två senaste veckorna har det varit stökigt hemma … men OK, de måste ju ha plats att jobba. Idag inte så kul, kändes som “oh fredag, nu sticker vi” och så släppte de allt där de stod utan tanke på att det bor nån här.

It doesn’t happen often, but today was the day.
